[ Hm. Well, that's one way to do it. After Juvia knocks out the tooth, Koltira reaches forward, his eyes narrowed. A whip of dark energy bursts from his open palm, lashing around the tooth, adjusting itself to fit the thing's shape. Koltira flicks his wrist and the line of shadows quivers, snapping back like a boomerang, tooth in tow.
He nods to Juvia as he gets his hands on the prize, a clear expression of gratitude on his face. Speech remains a problem, so he jabs a thumb at the surface. Going up? ]
[ Another magic user. She's only ever met one other person here besides herself with powers..! It relaxes her, prompts her to stop and follow the whip from the tooth straight over to him. She nods, a little excitement beneath her stoic expression.
Juvia weaves her way out of the ship, using the water to propel her towards the surface. The fresh air hits her face when she breaks through the water.
Even when Koltira arrives, she doesn't say much of anything, the only thing being expressed is the sparkle in her eyes and the sheer longing to ask many, many questions she can't form. ]
[ Koltira breaks the surface with tooth in tow, feeling a momentary rush of pleasure at having accomplished his goal. Like all positive feelings, though, it's fleeting, rushing away from him just as quickly as it came. Even so, he knows that he owes this woman his thanks.
He jumps up out of the water, and icy power glows beneath his feet as he does so. When he comes down again, he's standing on top of the ocean, the water having frozen beneath him. ]
My thanks--
[ He pauses, noticing the glitter in her eyes. He finds it alarming. ]
...Yes. [ She finds his ice just as alarming as he does her sparkles. She manages to keep a level tone, despite the conclusions she is jumping to. ] Fine.
[ She certainly does not look fine, because now she's not only thinking about the chance of a new friend, but the sheer fact his powers are suspiciously complimentary towards hers.... Just like her Gray. Is this a sign? Were they meant to meet?? Is there a water user just like her then?! Should she, should she get up on his ice with him????
She at least lets her hands touch the edge of the ice he stands on, feeling it as if to make sure it's real. ]
...Standing on water is something that Juvia cannot do.
[ The sheer notion itself isn't as wild as it should be, all considering her own exposure to different kinds of magic, but she's never done it herself. Juvia calms down considerably, staring at his hand with pure curiosity. ]
Is it a spell? Or is that also part of your magic?
[ He sweeps his hand, and the humming orb of freezing magic flows from his palm towards her, slipping under the water and shimmering beneath her feet. ]
[ Juvia wades some distance away in the water as his magic envelops beneath her. She does exactly as he instructs, using the water around her to simply push her up far enough until her feet can safely touch the surface. ]
What are you, then?
[ She wrings out her hair, letting the droplets go right back into the ocean. ]
[ He watches her manipulate the water, wondering the same thing. Mages can control the elements like that, but they tend to do best with pure ice. A shaman? Hmm. ]
[ She's never heard of that before.. Not that she should be really surprised that's the case. Some part of her was hoping she could be familiar in a way-- magic users need to stick together after all..... ]
Yes. Juvia is a water mage.
[ She turns to walk towards the shore, but slows enough so that he may walk along side her. ]
Although, I don't understand. Being a knight grants you powers, in your world?
[ He nods in a way that suggests she's just confirming what he already surmised. ]
I was not blessed by a sovereign sword, if that is what you mean. I am a revenant, more or less. The magic that forced me back to life granted me this power.
Yes. That is what Juvia meant. [ She understands what he means once he explains it-- she doesn't touch that topic further now that her curiosity is sated.
However, that last part.. she doesn't think it'd be appropriate to ask about his Death as of yet, so she opts for something else. ]
To have magic that strong, the person who brought you back must be a very powerful mage.
[ Even through an untimely death. He had questioned what his friendship with Thassarian meant, once they were both free of the Lich King's control. They had left each other, for a time. But he had found he missed Thassarian's companionship, and that--more importantly--the bond formed under duress did not so easily break.
A ghost of a smile passes over his face. He still wonders if it was wrong, or weak, to cling to that friendship. ]

Juvia is fine!

If you should like to stand on the water, I can grant you that power.
[ He inclines his head to one side, clearly ignorant of everything Juvia's thinking. ]
Unless you can do so yourself.
[ Her abilities hadn't escaped his notice, either. But such elemental magic was common enough on Azeroth. ]

Jump, and the ocean will turn to ice for you.
[ He shrugs at her question. ]
The latter, I suppose. All of my kind can do it.

He was my only friend. Despite everything.

Friendships are meant to stay strong, no matter the conflict that arises during it.
[ It's something she says after a moment of thinking, because she can only assume so much off his answer. ]

An idealistic sentiment.
[ He shakes his head. ]
But you are not wrong, either.
